The 595×995 High Summer NXT Gen Infrared Heating Panel 580W measures approximately 595mm by 995mm, with a 580W power output. This means it can heat an area that’s approximately 9-10m2. It measures approximately 22mm in depth, meaning it can fit snugly against the wall. It comes with an IP54 rating, meaning it’s protected against accidental splashes of water.
The panel’s surface is constructed from FIR Coating, meaning it’s attractive and resilient. It can reach a surface temperature of approximately75-95˚C, which is slightly hotter than a standard radiator. This wouldn’t be an issue, however, as it can be installed much higher up your wall than other types of heater can be.
What is Infrared Heating?
Infrared heating is an incredible new way of heating your home that doesn’t rely on the same out-dated methods that a traditional radiator does. It’s so efficient, it can actually save you up to a massive 60% on your heating bills! It does this by heating the room differently to other heaters. It actually heats the objects in the room, rather than just the air around it. Because the surface area of objects in the room is much less than the volume of air, this is more much efficient. It also helps to create a thermal mass.
It emits infrared beams all around the room, which reflect off of the objects in the room, leaving them warmed. In contrast, a conventional heater causes convectional currents by heating the air. The air then rises to the ceiling, cools, and falls again. This air current can cause dust circulation, mould growth, and cold spots – all of which can negatively affect your health. This is why infrared heaters are seen as healthier.
You can be assured that infrared heating is completely safe, as it just uses the same technology that TV remote controls use, or even laser quest games! Plus, the heat it provides is the same as the sun’s, but without any harmful ultraviolet radiation.

This means that they are all compliant with the Lot 20 legislation that was introduced at the beginning of 2018. The remote control can also be paired with multiple heaters, in order to control them as a group.
You’ll get the fantastic 7-day timer that allows you to set separate on and off times for the weekdays and weekends.

NXTGEN Features
There are lots of different features for increasing your efficiency with a NXTGEN heater. Using the remote, you can make use of automatic temperature control, where your panel switches on and off to regulate whatever temperature you want your room to be
Also included is adaptive start – put simply, you set your temperature and the time you want your room to be warm. Your panel then calculates how long this will take, and switches your panel on early! As a bonus, they also come with open window detection, where your IR heater will switch off when it detects a sudden fall in temperature as a result of an open window.
NXTGEN LED
What does that little blue LED light in the corner of your panel mean? That button is vital to knowing exactly what your heater is doing at any given time. With so many amazing NXTGEN features, it can be potentially difficult to know what’s going on. If the light is illuminated, then you can rest assured, as the heater is warming your room thoroughly and efficiently. If the light is off, then the panel is either switched off completely, or it’s preserving your current temperature, and it has no need to actually be actively heating.
This is another helpful feature that the NXTGEN heaters deliver that helps you keep on top of your heater, and on top of your heating bills.
