This specific infrared heater measures approximately 595mm by 995mm, with a power output of 580W. This means that it can heat an area of around 9-10m2. It measures a slim 22mm in depth, meaning it can be installed very neatly against your wall. It has an IP54 rating, meaning it’s protected against any accidental splashes of water.
The surface of the panel is built from premium FIR Coating materials, which can reach a maximum temperature of around 75-95˚C. This shouldn’t be a problem at all, however, as the panel can be installed much higher up on the wall than other heaters can, minimising the possibility of accidental burns.
How Does Infrared Heating Work?
It works very similarly to the sun! Rather than generating any nasty UV radiation, as the sun does, IR heating only provides infrared waves. These are similar to those that your TV remote produces, so you know that it is completely safe.
These infrared waves bounce around your room, reflecting off of objects and surfaces, and leaving them warmed. This is in opposition to how normal heaters work, as they just heat the air around them. This creates convectional currents, where the warmed air rises, cools, and falls again. This is both inefficient, and detrimental to your health. Convectional currents promote dust circulation, mould growth, and cold spots. Infrared heaters do not do this, making them better for your health.
It’s not just about safety and health, however. Thanks to their novel way of heating your room, they are much more efficient than other heaters. Not only is this great for the environment, it’s also great for you. That’s because infrared heaters can save you approximately 60% on your heating bills.

With automated temperature control, you just set the desired temperature, and the panel does the rest. It switches on and off in order to keep your room just as warm as you want it to be. You also get a 7-day timer, which allows you to schedule different on and off times for both weekdays and weekends.
The remote control comes with an extensive 12-month warranty, so you’re covered.
NXTGEN Features
The real clever aspect of these panels is the adaptive start and open window detection. Adaptive start means that the panel can work out when it needs to switch on in order to heat your room to the desired temperature at the desired time, eliminating guesswork on your behalf. The open window detection switches your panel off when there is a sudden drop in temperature because of an open window, saving you energy and money in the process.

Strong Construction
With Mirrorstone’s premium construction, you have no need to worry. The lovely matt surface is simple to wipe clean with a damp cloth, and that’s all the work it’ll ever need doing to it. There are no moving parts inside an infrared panel, so there’s no servicing or maintenance needed whatsoever. As previously stated, the surface is made from resilient aluminium too, so you’re all set to go.
On the rear of the panel is a normal 240v junction box, with a lengthy 2m of heavy-duty flex cable and a standard UK mains 3-pin plug.
