Revolutionise the way you heat your home with the fantastic 595×995 Foggy Peak NXT Gen Infrared Heating Panel 580W. It has a lovely image of a mountain summit with a swirl of fog around it, with a stormy sky behind it.
The heater measures 595mm by 995mm, with a 22mm depth. This means that it can fit extremely closely against the wall, with very little sticking out. It has a 580W power output, which can heat an area of around 9-10m2. The panel comes with an IP54 rating, which protects it against splashes of water.
The panel has an FIR Coating surface, which can reach a temperature of 75-95˚C. This is slightly hotter than a radiator, but this shouldn’t be an issue. That’s because it can be installed much higher up than a traditional heater, so it’s less likely to be accidentally touched.
Advantages of Infrared Heating
Infrared heating has lots of different advantages over other kinds of heaters, including traditional central heating. It’s far more efficient, being able to save you up to 60% on your heating bills! It does this by heating your room in a completely different way to other heaters.
The way it works is by using infrared beams, which bounce around your room, warming the objects and surfaces. This creates a thermal mass in the room, which keeps the room warm, even after the heater has been turned off.
A traditional heater works by heating the air in the room, which causes convectional currents. This is where the warm air rises, cools, and falls, ready to be heated again. Not only is this inefficient, it can also cause you respiratory issues. It causes mould growth, cold spots, and dust circulation – all of which an infrared heater doesn’t cause. This makes infrared heating better for your health.
Infrared heating is also completely safe, despite the thought of radiation sounding dangerous. Infrared is just on the electromagnetic spectrum, the same as x-rays, microwaves, and visible light. However, just like visible light, there are no ill-effects with infrared waves. Infrared beams are used by TV remotes, and it’s how the sun warms us, too!
FIR Coating For Maximum Efficiency & Safety
Our infrared panels come with a brand new, highly advanced premium FIR Coating to help maximise the performance of your heater. It’s heat-resistant – meaning it can withstand temperatures up to 200oC without yellowing over time.
Not only that, but it will also help the carbon crystal heating element inside the panel distribute the IR waves better than ever before, thanks to a higher thermal efficiency, resulting in even more warmth in your home.
To top it all off, the coating is also far more secure than ever before, as it is fire resistant, ensuring your family and your home stay safe and warm.
NXTGEN Remote Control
Included with every one of our NXT Gen IR Panels is a built-in thermostat and remote control, ensuring all our heaters are compliant with the Lot 20 legislation, which was introduced in 2018. This means you can have automated control of your panels from day one, with no additional purchases necessary!
You also have a 7-day timer at your disposal too, which allows you to set different on and off times for the weekdays and weekends.
For full details, take a look at our NXT Gen IR Panel manual, and discover how NXT Gen is about to revolutionise the heating market again.
The included remote control comes with a 1-year warranty.
NXTGEN Features
Automated temperature control allows you to set a target temperature for your room, and the panel will switch on and off on its own to regulate the level of heat.
Where the panel gets really clever though is the adaptive start and open window detection. Switching adaptive start on means your IR Heater will calculate how much time it will take for your room to get to your target temperature for the time you have set, and will switch on early to make up the difference! Open window detection means that your panel will switch off if it detects a sudden drop in temperature, as it is highly inefficient to try to heat a room that is being cooled.
Easy Installation
It really is a completely straightforward task to install your brand new infrared heating panel. If just taking it out of the box, and plugging it in sounds easy, it’s because it truly is. If you’re mounting on the wall, then there are just a couple of extra, simple steps to follow.
You won’t need to ask anyone to help, as it’s just a one-person job. We provide a beneficial stencil in the box, which shows you exactly where you have to drill the holes into the wall.
Once the screws are in the wall, you just have to hang the panel onto the screws, using the two brackets on the rear. Then, just plug it into the mains socket using the UK 3-pin plug, and the generous 2m of cable.
