What Is A NXT Gen Panel?

Included with every NXT Gen panel is a built-in thermostat and a remote control to ensure that they are LOT20 compliant. Furthermore, they come with 4 new fantastic features.

With the Automated Temperature Control, you can set a target temperature for the space and the panel will switch on and off to regulate it. You also have a 7-Day Timer which will allow you set different on/off times for the weekdays and weekends.

The panel gets very intelligent with Adaptive Start. This is when the unit will calculate how long it’ll take to reach a certain temperature and wake up early in order to achieve this goal for a chosen time. Finally, activate Open Window Detection to have the panel shut down as soon as it detects a drop in temperature.

Controlling Your Panel

Each NXT Gen panel comes with a remote as standard. It will work exactly the same way as you would use a television remote! Allow us to explain…

Powered by just 2 AAA batteries, the remote is intelligently fit with a temperature reader. This will gauge and display the current warmth of the room to an accuracy of ±0.5°C. It also features an LCD display screen and 9 simple buttons.

To pair the remote to your panel, simply ensure the green rocker switch is in the off position and then simultaneously hold down the ‘MODE’ and ‘°C/°F’ buttons until you hear a beep. You can also pair one controller to multiple units for easy usage!

The Little Blue Light

It is no secret that the anatomy of our IR panels is sleek and simple. With no moving parts and a purpose for every component, there are no necessary additions.

On delivery, you will notice that the unit has a little blue LED light sat in the bottom right-hand corner. It has been installed as a simple indication as to whether the panel is on or off. When it is shining, the panel will be emitting heat and when you cannot see it, the unit will be off.

This simple addition is to avoid any confusion as to whether it is functioning and also adds the convenience of being able to tell from a distance.
