If the light is off, the unit would have turned itself off – perhaps due to turning itself off with Open Window Detection or to regulate the temperature with Automated Temperature Control. This increases efficiency as it is pointless to over-heat the room and saves you money on electricity bills.

With the added bonus of an LED, this increases efficiency once again as they have a predicted lifespan of 20 years, require little energy and are also will not absorb a lot of heat.
