If you’re searching for a fantastic picture to go on your wall, or a powerful new heating system that will save you money, then the 595×1195 Swiss Chalet NXT Gen Infrared Heating Panel 700W is the perfect choice.
It measures around 595mm by 1195mm, and uses just 700W of power. This means it’s able to heat an area of around 11-12m2. It measures a rather slender 22mm in depth, meaning it can be installed extremely neatly against the wall, with very little protrusion into your room. It has an IP54 rating, to protect it against any unintentional splashes of water – should you choose to deploy it in your kitchen or bathroom, for example.
The panel is assembled using tough FIR Coating, which ensures it can reach a surface temperature high of around 75-95˚C. This is similar to a home’s standard radiator, but these panels can be installed much further up on the wall. This means that they are pretty unlikely to be accidentally brushed against.
What is IR Heating?
Infrared heating is extremely efficient, as it spreads its heat much differently to how a standard radiator does. In fact, an IR heater can actually save you a massive 60% on your heating bills! It does this by warming the actual objects in the room, rather than just the air surrounding the heater. The infrared beams that it generates bounce off of the objects in the room, leaving them heated.
A traditional heater, however, heats the air, which rises to the ceiling, cools, and falls again, forming a convectional current. In turn, this can encourage dust circulation, mould growth, and cold spots, which is how infrared heating is deemed so much better for your health.
Infrared heating is also completely safe, as alarming as it sounds. It uses the same sort of technology that your TV remote control does, and the heat it provides is the same as the sun’s. However, infrared heating does not give off any of the harmful UV radiation as the sun does.

This is to ensure 100% compliance with the Lot 20 legislation that came into effect at the beginning of 2018. You can pair the remote with multiple heaters, to control them as a group.
The 7-day timer gives you control by letting you set on/off times for the weekdays and weekends.

NXTGEN Features
This means you benefit from all sorts of new features, starting with automated temperature control. You simply set your temperature and the panel will maintain the warmth by switching on and off.
Where the panel automates things for you is with adaptive start. The panel works out how early it needs to switch on in order for your room to be at your desired temperature at the time you need it. This means you don’t need to guess – it does all the hard work for you!
Open window detection automatically shuts the heater off when there is a sudden drop in temperature, as attempting to heat a room with a cold draft is highly inefficient.
Looks Fantastic
Thanks to this panel’s slender 22mm depth, you can fit it very flush against your wall, so it’s well out of the way. They can be installed higher up on the wall than many heating methods, which saves you plenty of space when compared to traditional heaters. Simply use the drill template to drill into your wall, insert the wall plugs into the holes, and then place the screws inside the wall plugs. Finally, mount the panel by lining up the brackets with the protruding screws, pushing towards the wall, and then downwards to fix into place. |
