Combine a gorgeous image with a powerful heater with the 595×1195 Glacial Brook NXT Gen Infrared Heating Panel 700W. Infrared heating has lots of advantages over traditional heating methods, including central heating. This amazing picture is much better to look at than a clunky radiator.
This IR panel measures around 595mm by 1195mm, with a 700W power output. This means it can warm an area that’s around 11-12m2. It is approximately 22mm in depth, meaning it can be fitted rather closely against the wall. It comes with a useful IP54 rating, meaning that it’ll be protected against accidental splashes of water.
The panel’s surface is constructed from FIR Coating, meaning it’s attractive and resilient. It can reach a maximum temperature of roughly 75-95˚C, which is only slightly warmer than a standard radiator. This won’t be an issue, however, as it can be installed much higher up your wall than traditional heaters can be.
What is Infrared Heating?
One of our favourite aspects of infrared heating is how exceptionally environmentally friendly it is. Because it uses a lot less energy than traditional heating methods, it can lower your heating bills by an impressive 60%! It’s all down to how it heats your room. It uses infrared beams, which bounce around the room, hitting objects and moving on again. It leaves them warmed, which is much more efficient than just heating the air around it, as standard heaters do.
Infrared heating consequently doesn’t generate any convectional currents. This is where the warm air rises, cools, and falls again, requiring more heating. This is rather inefficient, and can be terrible for your overall health. This is because these currents cause cold spots, dust circulation, and mould growth. Infrared heating doesn’t do this at all, which is how it is much better for your health.
Infrared heating is completely safe, even though the idea of infrared radiation sounds scary. It’s the same heat that the sun provides, but without any harmful UV radiation. It’s the same beams that are emitted by your TV remote control!

NXTGEN Remote Control
Our NXT Gen IR Panels change the market once more, thanks to built-in thermostats and remote controls included with every NXT Gen heater. This means all our panels are compliant with the Lot 20 legislation that all space heaters need to comply with to be legally sold in the UK.
The remote control is extremely easy to use, and allows you to control all the different NXTGEN features. The 7-day timer allows you to set on/off times on weekdays and weekends. A quick look through our NXT Gen IR Panel manual reveals the full extent of the heater’s capabilities.
As standard, all remote controls come with a 12-month warranty.
NXTGEN Features
Taking things up a notch, they also come with adaptive start. This switches the panel on early to ensure that your room is up to the temperature you need it at the time you need it. It does this by calculating how long it will take to warm up your room, so you no longer need to guess! For you, this means a whole new world of possibility and control. Automatic temperature control allows you to set a temperature, and your IR heater will then maintain it by switching on and off.
Then, we have open window technology. When the panel detects a sudden drop in temperature as a result of an open window, it will switch off in order to save energy.
Easy to Install
These heaters are really easy to fit. There’s no problematic electrical or plumbing work, so you don’t have to fret about hiring anyone to help. These heaters are completely plug-and-play compatible, with a standard UK mains 3-pin plug and a two metre long power cable. To fit them on the wall, it’s a simple one-person job. Using the template that we provide in the box, drill two holes in the wall and put the screws in.
After that, just hang the panel on the screws using the two brackets on the back. You can also suspend it from the ceiling, or use an infrared heater stand to make it portable.

There’s also an impressive 14-day home trial period, in case you feel the need to return or exchange it. This is susceptible to a small 15% restocking fee, however, as the panel would need to be printed on.

Simply use the drill template to drill into your wall, insert the wall plugs into the holes, and then place the screws inside the wall plugs. Finally, mount the panel by lining up the brackets with the protruding screws, pushing towards the wall, and then downwards to fix into place. |
