For a heater that’s truly impressive, check out the 595×1195 Thunder Mountain NXT Gen Infrared Heating Panel 700W. It’s a gorgeous image on an infrared heater, which can outstrip the performance of loads of different heaters, including central heating.
It measures approximately 595mm by 1195mm, with 700W of power usage. This can keep an area of around 11-12m2 warm. It measures just a skinny 22mm in depth, meaning it can be fitted extremely closely against the wall. It comes supplied with an IP54 rating, to protect it against any accidental splashes of water that you may get in the kitchen or bathroom, for example.
The panel is manufactured using tough yet attractive FIR Coating materials, which can reach a maximum surface temperature of around 75-95˚C. This is similar as a traditional radiator, but of course, these IR heaters can be installed higher up on the wall. This means that they are unlikely to be accidentally touched.
How Does IR Heating Work?
Infrared heating is a super new way of warming your indoor space. It is more efficient, more environmentally-friendly, and, truthfully, looks better than normal heating methods. It heats your room in a completely new way when compared to a conventional radiator. Rather than warming the air around it, it actually heats the objects in the room with infrared beams, which requires less energy. It can actually save around 60% on your heating bills!
By doing this, you can avoid convectional currents. When a traditional heater warms the air, it rises to the ceiling, cools, and falls again, requiring more heat. This is less efficient, and can have a negative effect on your health. That’s because it promotes dust circulation, mould growth, and cold spots. Because an infrared heater does not do this, it can actually be seen as better for your health.
Infrared heating is also completely safe, even though it sounds scary. It’s just the same technology that TV remote controls use! It provides the same kind of heat that the sun does, but without any nasty UV radiation.

NXTGEN Features
Using the remote, you can make use of automatic temperature control, where your panel switches on and off to regulate whatever temperature you want your room to be. As well as this, the 7-day timer allows you to set separate on and off times for the weekdays and weekends.
Also included is adaptive start – put simply, you set your temperature and the time you want your room to be warm. Your panel then calculates how long this will take, and switches your panel on early! As a bonus, they also come with open window detection, where your IR heater will switch off when it detects a sudden fall in temperature as a result of an open window.
Strong Construction
With Mirrorstone’s high-quality build, you have no need to worry. These panels have a whopping 100,000 hours of usage, so you can enjoy them for years to come. The lovely matt surface is simple to wipe clean with a damp cloth, and that’s all the work it’ll ever need doing to it. Simply use the drill template to drill into your wall, insert the wall plugs into the holes, and then place the screws inside the wall plugs. Finally, mount the panel by lining up the brackets with the protruding screws, pushing towards the wall, and then downwards to fix into place. |
